How the hell do you make an EU Law? (February 2020) follows one law through the main EU institutions to show how the European sausage gets made. The sausage being the Single Use Plastics directive. It is the third and final episode of Bursting the Bubble: a mini-series explaining how the main EU institutions work. It was inspired by the 2018 European Parliament elections. The Europeans team realisation that thet had absolutely no idea how the EU works or what we were voting for. A brief google search made it clear that the EU was not going to tell us in simple terms, and it was time for a deep dive.
